Earthing is so simple!
I am grateful for the time I am able to connect with mama Gaia (our sacred planet ) everyday.
Earthing or grounding is a healing technique that all animals practice. When we remove our shoes and lay on the earth we electrically reconnect to the earths frequency. This creates more ions in our bodies, which helps reduce inflammation . Swimming in the ocean or waterfalls is also grounding. I have been surfing everyday which has been incredibly healing For watering my spirit and has increased my intake of vitamin D too.
There are innovative alternatives for earthing, Such as grounding mats, grounding sheets and grounding socks available for those that are in a concrete jungle.
Studies are showing the health benefits of grounding can help with chronic fatigue, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, regulate cortisol, neutralize free radicals and cardiovascular disease.
My ohana lie on the earth everyday around 5 when it starts to cool down. We read, or play a game or paint while our dog Luna chases mo’o. 30 minutes a day is such a beautiful way to reconnect with our loved ones and slow ourselves down. This rhythm shifts the body from the stressed fight or flight mode to the restorative rest and digest mode.
